Video: Dance Celebrating the Expulsion of Israel From Sinai

Egyptian Dance “Sinawi” celebrating the final return  of the Sinai Peninsula to Egypt in 1982 after many years of military occupation by israel. Dance performance by Nour El-Hadi and his dance group “Ahlam Al Nil” on 20 April 2013 during Egyptian cultural presentation in Vienna, Austria, organized by Dr. Manal Abu El-Ala and co-sponsored by the City of Vienna, the Ethnological Museum of Vienna and many private sponsors.
Yesterday, the “Association of Information and Egyptian Culture” headed by Dr. Manal Abu El-Ala, a political journalist of Egyptian origin hosted a cultural evening in Vienna, in which Egyptian Dance “Sinawi” attracted the attention and the feelings of the audience, who applauded the song heartily. With the song words, everybody expressed his spirit of the national belonging, love and closeness to Egypt.

Israel invaded and occupied Sinai during the Suez Crisis (known in Egypt as the Tripartite Aggression) of 1956, and during the Six Day War of 1967. On 6 October 1973, Egypt launched the October War to liberate the peninsula, which was the site of fierce fighting between Egyptian and Israeli forces. In 1982, after the Israel-Egypt Peace Treaty of 1979, Israel withdrew from the entirety of Sinai. See the video below:
