How much did Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas pay for his luxurious black hat, which he wore during his visit to Austria on last October 28, 2011???

This question came into my mind while looking at the President photos which I took during his visit last year, in the wake of the allegations published yesterday Sep. 10 2012 by the Hebrew edition of Yediot Aharonot.

The Israeli Edition reported criticism against President Abbas, quoting allegation from the al-Resalah news site which is affiliated with Hamas, which on their part had quoted that an article from Italy’s Il-Messaggero newspaper where it was claimed that “Abbas shoes cost 20.000 Euro”!

The Hebrew article alleges that President Abbas “prefers to buy moccasins by world renowned Italian shoemaker ‘Fabi’”. According to reports, the price of one pair of shoes can could cost as much as 20.000 Euros (about $25,500)

I must add that I looked at the website of Fabi (http://www.fabishoes.it) and was not able to find anything for such excessive prices among their Internet offering. Still, the shoes offered by Fabi, with prices up to EUR 375 the pair are unaffordable to most Europeans, not to speak of Palestinians.

Today, yesterday and since last week thousands of Palestinians across the West Bank have been protesting against “Paris Protocol”, the rising price of petrol and the deteriorating poverty situation in all the West Bank. In Hebron the protesters stoned the Municipality and smashed the windows of the firefighting trucks. The protesters burnt a police station in Al-Haras. In Nablus, over 50 Palestinians, among them several police, were injured during the clashes after the protesters burnt the police station in the city. Dozens of Palestinians threw shoes at a poster of Palestinian Prime Minister Salam Fayyad, chanting “The government has betrayed us”.

Today the protests continued unabated and tires were burned in the streets even after the PA decided to temporarily reduce by 15 percent the prices of diesel, gas and kerosene, effectively will reverting them back to August prices.

Over 37% of the Palestinian budget of $ 2.4 billion (donations from US-EU-Western-Arab countries) goes for strengthen the so-called “Palestinian security services” which ONLY helps to protect the zionist colonists and the Israeli security as part of so-called “security coordination”. That means that 37% of the Palestinian budget is dedicated to stifling Palestinian political activity, jailing Palestinian resistance and handing them the Israeli intelligence, the shabak.

Another 10% of the budget goes to expenses to cover the luxurious life of President Abbas and his travels, and about U$ 240 million of the PNA budget goes to feed his secret bank accounts and those of his family members. Another $ 11 million dollars is distributed between the real estate holdings of President Abbas and his sons.

Yanun village, district of Nablus where Anna Ardin/Bernardin is absconded now.

According to Palestine daily newspapers, Anna Ardin, also known as Bernardin, one of the two Swedish women who accused Julian Assange of rape, is now in the Palestinian town of Yanun near Nablus in the north of the West Bank and close to the Israeli apartheid wall. The Palestinian town is a center for international groups opposed to the Israeli apartheid wall. Yanun is a village under israeli siege since many years, because of its location and because of the vocal opposition of the inhabitants to the apartheid wall.

The Palestinian newspapers reported yesterday that Bernardin had reached the occupied West Bank in an attempt to help and search for a peace settlement between the Palestinians and Israelis. The newspapers added that, according to news published in Stockholm, that the rape allegations against Assange began to crumble after it appeared that one of the two women who accused Assange, Anna Ardin, was not cooperating with the prosecution. In the meantime, many facts indicative of foul play in this case have been uncovered and also questionable personal relations of Ms. Ardin/Bernardin relating to her political activity. Mr. Assange on his part is alleged by associates to have entered into a secret agreement with israel – no documents inconveniencing israeli interests have been published until now. According to comments made by Palestinians regarding the presence of the Swedish woman among them in Yanon, “those who can not make peace with themselves first will not be able to help the Palestinians build peace with Israel”. Regarding the presence of Ardin/Bernardin in Palestine, it was also remarked that “Palestine has become a place frequented by everyone under the pretext of supporting the prospects for peace and the Palestinians”.

Although we appreciate the efforts of the volunteers who come to support our nation and stand with us against the apartheid wall, it has become difficult for us to know who are the real supporters of peace and who are the infiltrators and intelligence agency plants among the peace activists who come to live and work among us in order to spy on our people and the peace movement in support of Israel and the foreign intelligence services.

If Anna Ardin/Bernardin has a dubious background as has been convincingly suggested about her in relation to the Assange case, then it would be better that she leaves Palestine alright. In this case I concur with my compatriots from Yanon that it would be better if Ms. Ardin/Bernardin returns to her home in Sweden and puts her personal affairs in order.

Drunken IDF Overturned in his Car after Wounding a Palestinian

The Israeli military spokesman claimed that a Palestinian officer working with the Palestinian National Authority (PA) stabbed an Israeli soldier, Ihab Khatib, 28, while he was sitting in a military jeep near the Taffouh junction, located south of the West Bank city of Nablus.

Our sources from the Taffouh junction stated that at around 1:50PM an Israeli military jeep deliberately ran over a Palestinian man who was walking in the street near the barrier. The eyewitness said that the jeep overturned on the pavement in the vicinity of the incident. The sources added that another Israeli settler who was in the same area during the incident was seen running out of his car with a knife in his hand.

The Palestinian victim was left on the side of street without medical treatment, while Israeli military staff took the Israeli soldier from the overturned jeep. The eyewitness strongly denied the fabrication of the IDF in which they claim that the Palestinian stabbed the soldier to death.

It is worth mentioning that the jeeps of the IDF are automatically shut from the inside and can only be opened by the person sitting inside the jeep, and that it is not possible for anyone from outside the car to open the doors.

The witnesses also condemned the Palestinian Authority’s acceptance of the Israeli fabrication about the incident. They said that the PA should know what really happened before uttering words of condemnation. It was on Mr. Salam Fayyad to condemn this incident in which an Israeli ran over a Palestinian just for fun, instead of condemning the Palestinian.

Fayyad stressed in a statement that the Palestinian Authority will “continue to make every effort to prevent such an event from recurring.” He added: “Such an incident,” the Palestinian prime minister said, “undermines national Palestinian objectives, and the Palestinian Authority’s commitments.” The Palestinian prime minister warned against being dragged into “violent activities” which have been proven to do “nothing but harm to the highest interests of our people,” and called on Palestinians to beware of the consequences of such actions.

Fayyad has never stood up to protect the interests of Palestinians, in either big or small ways, and his questionable attitude shown after this incident puts in doubt his loyalty to Palestine. The sources thought that the Israeli soldier who provoked the incident was drunk or under the influence of drugs.

The Palestinian victim was Mohammad Al-Khatib from the village of Yabed, and the IDF soldier was identified as a Druze from the Al-Maghar village, a sergeant major in the Kfir Brigade.

The Palestinian Authority and Hamas movements have trespassed all the limits with their continuous arrests and torture of political activists, and then killing many of them them in their jails. The attitude of these two movements is now similar to what the Israeli occupation has done and is still doing against the Palestinians in occupied Palestine. The Palestinian National Authority and Hamas have increased the incarceration of political activists, and committed hundreds of politicians, political activists and resistance members into their respective jails.

Recently, the PA made a decision to deny all political prisoners visit from their families for unlimited time and unknown reasons? This is a crime against the Geneva conventions, a crime against humanity, and a crime against all Palestinians.

In many cases the PA has arrested the wives and daughters of political prisoners in order pressure them psychologically. Hamas, not to be outdone, also tortured Fatah prisoners and interrogated their women in Gaza. These arrests and interrogation by the PA and Hamas are forbidden and contrary to human rights, and certainly against the Palestinian nation. These shameful things are new, and they have brought us the Palestinians shame and disgrace before the public.

Today, Monday 10 October 2009, Palestinian prisoner Fadi Abed Al-Rahman Husni Hamadne, a painter, single and aged 28, a student at Al-quds University, died in the Junaid prison of the PA in Nablus after less than two months of detention by the intelligence of the Palestinian Authority (PA).

According to a statement of the “Change and reform Bloc” of the Palestinian legislative council, (PLC-Statement) of which I received a copy, the collaborator forces of President Abbas are responsible for the assassination of Hamadne. The statement says that the assassination of the prisoner Hamadne by the PA forces is seen as done in complicity with the zionist occupation, whose crimes are aimed at eliminating the Palestinian resistance and depriving the Palestinian people of all their basic rights and property.

The statement called for the international community and human rights organizations to be alert to such crimes and put an end to them before they escalate. We call on Arab countries, especially Egypt, to have a voice against this crime; because silence helps the criminals to continue their crimes. We also confirm the necessity to bring the criminals to justice for trial for the implementation of the rule of law and punishment.

According to different sources, Hamadne was arrested on June 15 2009 and was severely tortured by the PA intelligence. The jailers denied him right to receive visits of his family during the last two months of detention. In addition, they arrested two members of his family, his brother and his brother-in-law, in order to make pressure on him to confess anything.

The spokesperson of the Palestinian military, “colonel” Adnan Al-Dumeeri, saidthat the Fadi Hamadne had been found dead in his cell haanging from a piece of cloth (pieces of the bed cover) around his neck. He denied that Hamadne had been tortured in jail. He pointed out that the brother-in-law of the deceased, Shaker Dababse, who is incarcerated in the same jail, removed the piece of cloth on the neck of Hamadne personally, implying that this means that the death was a suicide “in good faith”. He added that the medical results would show the reason of Hamadne’s death. “This issue is very sensitive for us”, he added.

“Colonel” Al-Dumeeri said that an independent investigation had been started, with the presence of independent human right organizations. He added that “we also asked the relatives of the deceased to send any doctor of their choice” to inspect the body, or to send it to any other jurisdiction for an autopsy to determine cause of death. These lies are the usual script repeated each time when these Dayton thugs murder yet another political activist.

Directly contradicting the dubious display of good will by the good “colonel”, inthe village of Asira Al-Shimalia near Nablus, were Hamadne’s family lives, the PA security and military prevented the family of the deceased from opening their house for mourning from receiving any condolences. The PA military security (actually the Palestinian thugs of Keith Dayton) imposed strict military measures on the native village of Hamadne and gave his family an order which forbids the ceremony of mourning. When the family went to the jail to recover the body of Hamadne, the Dayton thugs under “colonel” Al-Dumeeri gave a savage beating to all the family members present. Among the injured are the mother and the father of Husni Hamadne. The family finally refused to take the body until the reasons for the death of their son are fully clarified.

Hamas on their side denied the allegations of the PA, and reiterated that the PA are responsible for the murder of prisoner Hamadne and also of other prisoners, among them Majd Al-Barghouti, Muhammad Al-Hajj, Haitham Amro and Kamal Abu Toama. They all died incarcerated in PA prisons. Three political prisoners died in less than two months, (Haitham Amro, Kamal Abu Toama and Fadi Abed Al-Rahman Husni Hamadne)

The level of tensions between the factions has increased recently after Hamas prevented the Fatah members residing in Gaza from participating in the opening of the sixth Fatah Congress in Bethlehem.

• Until when will Hamas and Fatah continue harassing, incarcerating, torturing and murdering Palestinian political activists and members of the resistance?
• Are the years which these people spent incarcerated in Israeli jails not enough?
• Do you not understand that these people protect the rights of all of our nation?
• Is it not beyond injustice, below depravity, to collaborate with the zionists in moving these people from jail to jail? Do they not deserve a fate far better than that?
• How can Fatah call their criminal activities against political activists and members of the resistance a “national project” when it is far more appropriate to call say that they are conspiring with foreign occupiers against the Palestinian nation?
• How does the PA explain the death of three political prisoners in less than two months? How do the countries financing the PA explain these crimes against all Palestinians?
• Why do the EU and other countries who finance the PA not care that European human rights standards are strictly adhered to by the PA in return for the money given to them?
• Should I understand that it is IN THE INTEREST of the EU that Palestinian political activists are treated worse than animals, tortured and murdered?
• The resounding indolence of the countries financing the sham PA allows only the sad conclusion that they are complicit and conspiring with the zionists to foist exactly these disgusting and criminal conditions upon us.
