Palestine Between US-Israel Dictate and Fatah Conflict
Jul 15th, 2009 by kawther.salam
Politics is a filthy and immoral game, and all politicians are liars and blood suckers. In the Middle East, these immoral politicians have turned Palestine into a field of political experiments, into a cheap collective political bargaining tool, the so-called “peace process”. Between the criminals of US-Israel, the corrupt Arab regimes, the European countries, the foreign intelligence systems, even the Palestinian-Palestinian conflict of Fatah-Fatah and Fatah-Hamas, Palestine and the legitimate rights of Palestinians are lost. I do not see any difference between all the politicians, from whatever side, who are activate in one way or another in Palestine. They are all accomplice of genocide, of endless violations of human rights, and of crimes against humanity committed against the Palestinian people.
The conflicts of the Palestinians themselves, Fatah vs. Fatah and Fatah vs. Hamas, parties who both consider themselves the biggest political parties in Palestine, Jihad, Popular Committee, and other Palestinian parties and factions are guilty of grave crimes against the Palestinian people, since they have turned their resistance against the Israeli occupation into criminal fights between themselves in order to reach illusory power under the occupation. There is no difference between Muhammad Dahlan, Mahmoud Abbas, Salam Fayyad, Musa abu Marzoq, Ismael Haniyeh, Khalid Mishal, etc. They all are political criminals assisted by different criminals working for the regimes of various corrupt countries. Whatever these “leaders” do or call themselves, they all are still under the Israeli occupation, and their actions make them accomplices to genocide against their population, just like the criminal Israeli occupation.
On the political map of today, the Fatah as well Hamas are divided and in conflict with themselves and with the other parties. The statements made by Hamas leaders in the Gaza are not those statements made by Hamas leaders abroad. There is a gap between Hamas political leaders in Palestine and Hamas political leadership abroad, and there is another gap between Hamas leaders and members in Palestine. Anyone who sees and observes the Palestinian situation in the Gaza concentration camp understands that the power of Hamas is based on the destruction of Gaza, the poverty and the starvation of the Palestinians who live there, it rests on the skulls of the innocent civilian children who were murdered by Israel and who died of shortage of the medical treatment.
There is a clear disaster in Gaza and a clear political adultery under the Hamas leadership. The crimes of Hamas could be seen now to be equivalent to the crimes the Zionist occupation. The experience of suffering and corruption which the Palestinians lived under the PA (Palestinian Authority) in the Gaza, did not change with the ascension to power of the Hamas and its politics. To say something else is hypocritical.
In the West Bank there is another political disaster, and other political conflicts between factions of the Fatah party, and Fatah-PA leaders like Mahmoud Abbas, Tayyeb Abed Al-Rahim, … (the puppets lead by Keith Dayton and Jake Wells from the US, and the “civil administration” of Israel) and their criminal allies like Mohammad Dahlan, the former head leader of death squads and the alternative security system, who was forced to flee from his native Gaza. There is yet another conflict between Fatah inside Palestine and Fatah abroad, and another conflict between the Palestinian Authority leaders and politicians, and the Fatah leaders and politicians abroad, like the conflict between the old man Farouq Qaddumi, known as “Abu Al-Lotof”, the President of the Political Department of the PLO and Palestinian Minister for Foreign Affairs in the Diaspora, and the Secretary of the Central Committee of the Fatah Movement, and the President of PA Mahmoud Abbas.
Farouq Qaddumi turned his personal conflict with Mahmoud Abbas into a public one in the media. The title of the Qaddumi conflict is “fighting for the Palestinian National Rights”. Both of these fighters of Fatah are filthy and dishonest. The daily fight of these conflicted leaders from the same party expose the real, ugly faces of these leaders, and their conspiracies against the Palestinian population and their national rights of return and the building of a really independent state.
The recent conflict between Farouq Qaddumi, the leader of Fatah in exile, and Mahmoud Abbas, came to be as a result of the preparations for holding the so-called Sixth Fatah Conference, and the final decision of President Abbas for Bethlehem as a the place where to hold this conference, without prior consultation with the base of the Fatah movement inside and outside of Palestine.
President Abbas made his decision in coordination and consultation with his American “friends”, who, despite their opposition against holding the sixth Fatah conference, are even more strongly opposed to holding the conference outside the occupied territories, in order to ensure that the results of the conference are supportive to the PA and the outcome of the US-Israeli policy in Palestine, as holding the conference outside of their control would ensure results very unfavourable to them and Abbas. Using this chance, Abbas and his thugs from Fatah started falsifying the names and the list of the members of the Fatah who will attend the conference. They also enumerated the names of the Palestinian Authority supporters, and they drastically reduced the names of Fatah politicians members from abroad who are known to oppose the Palestinian Authority. All of these illegal preparations blew up the anger of thousands of members of the Fatah movement. The angry members of Fatah decided to expose the scandal by highlighting the crimes of the PA, which they themselves had been aiding and abetting with their long silence, hiding facts from the Palestinian people.
On July 12, 2009, the old man Farouq Qaddumi exposed a dead-fresh-old-new farce and conspiracy, during a press conference which he held in Jordan. “Abu Al-Lotof” exposed a recording of a conspirative conversation between Ariel Sharon for Israel, William Burns for the US, Mahmoud Abbas, and Mohammad Dahlan, during which they are plotting and planning to murder Arafat and other Palestinian political leaders. The time of this Al-Qaddumi Press conference and its purpose are also a clear farce, a splat in the face of all the Palestinians and Fatah. Farouq Qaddumi himself, who styles himself as “opposition” to the Abbas clique, has betrayed us Palestinians by hiding these crimes for some years, and exposing them only some months before the coming Sixth Fatah Conference, when it best suited him.
However, what Farouq Qaddumi said on July 12, 2009 in his press conference in Jordan reflects the level of filth of both the leaders of Fatah-PA, and the Fatah supporters in the “opposition” who have used our suffering to eliminate our national right to end the Israeli occupation. A brief of the Qaddumi farce follows.
Farouq Qaddumi stated in his press conference that “Abbas must resign, he is involved together with Muhammad Dahlan, Ariel Sharon, former Israeli PM, and William Burns, U.S. Under-secretary for Political Affairs for the Middle East, in a conspiracy against Palestine and the Palestinians. The conspiracy included the poisoning of President Yasser Arafat, and the murder of the leaders of Hamas, Jihad, Fatah Brigades, and ending the Palestinian militant resistance”.
Al-Qaddumi also accused President Abbas, the Israeli authorities, and the Americans of complicity in the assassination of the late President Arafat and various leaders of the Palestinian resistance. The accused crimes constitute complicity in genocide against the Palestinian people, because they eliminate viable political leadership.
Qaddumi also accused the Palestinian President of “tyranny” in the “unilateral actions” and “usurping the titles” Arafat. He showed before his press conference a document which the deceased President Arafat had given him. The documents is about a secret recording of a meeting which was held between Abbas, Mohammed Dahlan, former Israeli PM Sharon, William Burns and US intelligence officers, which was a planning to poison Arafat and to assassinate other leaders of the Palestinian resistance factions.
According to a summary of the recording which was read by Al-Qaddumi during his press conference, “Sharon told Abbas and Dahlan that it was imperative to kill every military and political leader of the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas), the Islamic Jihad, the Popular Front for the Palestine Liberation and the Al-Aqsa Martyr Brigades of Fatah”. Sharon further says in the recording to Abbas, Dahlan and the Americans, that the first step is that Arafat must must be killed by poisoning. “I don’t want to expel him, unless I receive guarantees that he will be under house arrest in any country. Otherwise, Arafat will turn to living on an airplane”. Sharon meant that expelling Arafat without putting him under house arrest meant that he would continue traveling around the world and making troubles for Israel.
The copy of the record attributes to Abbas saying in response to Sharon, “If Arafat dies before we are able control the land, all organizations, the Fatah and the Al-Aqsa brigades, then we may face great difficulties”.
Abbas proposed, according to the copy of the recording which read before the journalists “to attribute the Israeli schemes to Arafat himself and to continue pushing him to approve the assassination of the Palestinian leaders and resistance in order to burden the consequences of those acts on him”.
The copy of the record mentioned Dahlan as saying to Sharon: “We now have established a mixture of police, Preventive Security unit of more than 1800 members. We can also accommodate those who you recommend us to be in the position in this unit”. Dahlan added “We will now put all the officers of our military in front of difficult choices, and we will continue pressuring them until they follow us, and we will isolate all the officers who cause us problems or stand as an obstacle before us”.
According to the published version of the recording, Dahlan confirmed to Sharon by saying that “we have put the most serious leaders of Hamas and Islamic Jihad and the Al-Aqsa brigades under observation, if you asked me now about the first five most dangerous persons among them, I can tell you the exact places were they are”, adding that he was working to infiltrate the ranks of the Palestinian resistance.Dahlan also told Sharon that “the factors of success are now in our hands”, and that “Arafat is losing his grip and authority to control the affairs, and we are controlling all the organizations now, we already sent you all the necessary documents with full details about that”.
Huge Anger and many Question:
Since the declarations in Qaddumi conference, I have received many Emails from people directly involved in the conflict. By reading these messages, I understood that Fatah is divided among themselves for in four factions:
Fatah: the opposition against Qaddumi and support for Abbas.
Fatah: the support for Qaddumi and opposition against Abbas.
Fatah: the oppositions to both Abbas and Qaddumi.
Fatah: the neutrals who try to understand the conflicted affairs of their party.
As a result of the conflict in Fatah, some questions need answers, far away from Qaddumi and his declarations at the press conference:
- When will Fatah investigate the crime of the poisoning and murder of president Arafat?
- Will the Fatah investigate Al-Tayyeb Abed Al-Rahem, who was the general secretary of presidential office of Yasser Arafat and the closest person to him?
- Will Fatah prosecute the murderers of President Arafat both from Israel and the PA ?
- Will Fatah force the PA to kick Keith Dayton out of Palestine?
- When Fatah will end the conflict with Hamas?
If Fatah is able to answer these questions in a practical way, then Fatah will again be considered Fatah, if not, then Fatah can be considered as politically dead, merely a den of corrupt traitors and criminals
