American and Israeli Officers Killed in Crash in Romania
Americans were among the six Israeli officers who were killed in a helicopter crash in Romania. The Romanian authorities are continuing to hide the presence of the dead Americans on board a military helicopter which crashed over its territory near Brasov in central Romania.
The helicopter was carrying a number of Israeli military officers, US officers and Romanians when it crashed over the Carpathian Mountains during a training flight for the Israeli officers. According the Israeli daily news, the Israeli military training in the EU is part of their preparations for a war against Iran. The Israeli dead officers Staff Sergeant Oren Cohen and Lieutenant Colonel Daniel Shipenbauer were involved in the Gaza massacre during the so called “Operation Cast Lead”.
The Ministry of Defense of Romania stated that the Romanian military helicopter which crushed was carrying Israeli soldiers and a Romanian, but the ministry imposed a news blackout on the real number of dead people and their nationalities. They did not mention the presence of US soldiers among the dead.
Romanian press reports indicated that US military personnel were present on board of the helicopter, but the Romanian authorities did not confirm this.
It is worth mentioning that previously, on July 18 2010, the Romanian Department of Defense reported that an Israeli helicopter had been involved in military training and had an emergency landing after the discovery of a defect in the helicopter. The statement added that the problem had been fixed and helicopter returned to base Bopok (sp ?).
According to Israeli newspaper Yediot Aharonot, the Israeli army sent on last June 26 more than hundred officers on board of a Boeing 707 aircraft to Romania, Germany and Poland. The Hebrew newspaper claimed that the soldiers were sent to visit the memorial sites and the concentration camps of Jews in Poland, but this makes no sense. Yediot Aharonot contradicts this statement and cites Israeli military sources which say that Turkey prevented a plane carrying a number of Israeli officers from crossing over its territory. The sources added that officers were actually on their way to conduct military exercises abroad and that they had to change their route towards their destination.
After the Israeli helicopter crash, and for “security” reasons, the commander of the Israeli air force war criminals Brigadier-General Nimrod Shefer put on hold a number of IAF helicopters that participated in the military war exercises in Romania
Members of the Israeli military air forces include 30 combatant soldiers and commanders from Rescue Unit 669 arrived at a Romanian Air Force base.
On the other hand it should be noted that Israel continues it’s training and military preparations to strike Iran, and that the Israeli military is training under the observance and help of the US military.
