Let Us Sing Beautiful Songs
Here is Palestine… steadfast, silent, blocked, lonely, and forgotten by all, except her good friends, her people miss freedom, her children dream of blue shinning sky without any planes which make sky black, and convert their sweet homes to small stones..
They look to their blue beautiful sea when Israeli Warships color it to red, They are saying goodbye to there small trees before it swapped by occupation, they kiss everything by there eye before it disappeared and evaporates by Israeli tank shells, they remember there friend’s, dad’s, mum’s, brother’s, sister’s faces that were here and gone forever in the crazy war game.
Don’t they deserve life?!, homes?, freedom?, nor hope??
Don’t they deserve rights!, or even good Future ?
Don’t they deserve to sing with free children Freedom songs?
Lets work together hand by hand to achieve there sweet dreams,.
WILL COME: words by Joe Fallisi, on the air of Amazing Grace, music by anonymous
Will come, yes freedom will come,
The land we love will see us again.
We didn’t suffer in vain,
Oh mother we come back to you.Oh Palestine in our heart you shine,
You, love burning star!…
Zionists, oppressors, tyrants will fall.
Freedom will come.Oh brothers Jews do live with us.
Ours will be one country.
The new humanity will have
Justice, equality together.
OH MOTHER PALESTINE: a song to Gaza, words by Joe Fallisi, translated by Alexander Synge, based on the aria Fenesta ca lucive, music by Vincenzo Bellini – Baranzate, 13 September 2009
Oh Mother Palestine, you who burn,
I see you how you suffer in desperation.A thousand lights soar into the skies,
The searing flames and the soul raped. This is our country, tyrants away!
No more shall we be snared by your falsity.By night the brigands came,
Tearing our hearts from the land. The sky turned pale, white,
A rain of death in a lightning flash. All mankind wept,
Hands were stained with blood.Olive groves, the sweetest of seas, garlands, friends
Our roots, the immortal soul.
WILL WE EVER SEE: words by Joe Fallisi, translated by Alexander Synge, musical motif: “Come on in my kitchen” by Robert Johnson – Baranzate, 13 November 2009
Will we ever see Sun-morning?
I don’t know why, you’re close.
You shine in my heart’s night
But noboby can see you.
As in a book already written
But in a language nobody knows,
You’re waiting pure eyes and till then
You stay locked in the mistery,
In your mistery.
You’re waiting pure eyes and till then
You stay locked in the mistery,
Yes, yes in your mistery.
Will we ever see Sun-morning?
I don’t know why, you’re close.
You shine in my heart’s night
But noboby can see you.
ONE MINUTE: a song to the martyrs of the Mavi Marmara, who ascended to heaven on 31 May 2010. Words and music by Joe Fallisi, translation by Alexander Synge – Athens, 23 May 2010, Istanbul, 3 June 2010
Gaza, flower of Palestine,
See the waves of the morning,
Nine ships you shall watch as they enter
By the doors of your sea.
We left from Ireland,
Italy, Holland.
Great heart of Turkey,
Greece, Sweden and Algeria.
Free Gaza, Ramallah, Jenin,
Jerusalem, Hebron, Bethlehem,
Nablus, Qualquilla, Tulkarem, Bil’in,
Jerico, Yāfā, Haifa, Deir Yassin!
Free Gaza, Ramallah, Jenin,
Jerusalem, Hebron, Bethlehem,
Nablus, Qualquilla, Tulkarem, Bil’in,
Jerico, Yāfā, Haifa, Deir Yassin!
A thousand bright stars
In the sky above, still twinkling…
Dolphins are our travel mates
And the smiles of the children.
One minute Mr Peres,
Says Erdogan as he rises,
No more crimes or wars,
The injustices shall end.
Free Gaza, Ramallah, Jenin,
Jerusalem, Hebron, Bethlehem,
Nablus, Qualquilla, Tulkarem, Bil’in,
Jerico, Yāfā, Haifa, Deir Yassin!
Free Gaza, Ramallah, Jenin,
Jerusalem, Hebron, Bethlehem,
Nablus, Qualquilla, Tulkarem, Bil’in,
Jerico, Yāfā, Haifa, Deir Yassin!
Into the squares, bathed
In the light of a summer dawn,
Come the elderly and the very young,
Mums and grannies and their neighbours.
Together to the port they go,
Eyes fixed upon the horizon,
As the sea breezes
Scatter pearls on their brows.
Free Gaza, Ramallah, Jenin,
Jerusalem, Hebron, Bethlehem,
Nablus, Qualquilla, Tulkarem, Bil’in,
Jerico, Yāfā, Haifa, Deir Yassin!
Free Gaza, Ramallah, Jenin,
Jerusalem, Hebron, Bethlehem,
Nablus, Qualquilla, Tulkarem, Bil’in,
Jerico, Yāfā, Haifa, Deir Yassin!
Free Gaza, Ramallah, Jenin,
Jerusalem, Hebron, Bethlehem,
Nablus, Qualquilla, Tulkarem, Bil’in,
Jerico, Yāfā, Haifa, Deir Yassin!
