Origen tell us this darkness was only in Palestine, and the neighbouring countries: for as to the words, over the whole earth, or over the whole land, we find one kingdom or empire, by a common way of speaking, called the whole earth, or the whole world. As to the cause of the obscuration of the sun; and secondly, as to the extent of its darkness. Origen tells us that the darkness was partial, and confined to Judea and the neighbouring countries, as the darkness of Egypt was only perceived in that country, and not in Gessen, where the children of Israel were. Saint Jerome tells us that the obscurity was caused by the rays of the sun being suddenly withdrawn by divine power, as was the case in Egypt. The darkness in Egypt during the Passover of Moses was due to God's protection withdrawn from that land at that time. The darkness when Christ was Crucified for us is the judgement of God upon His Son Jesus Christ, in our place. For Jesus Christ knew NO sin. He never sinned, nor could He ever.

The meaning of the Pasch of Christians.

The Book of Wisdom, Chapter 17, describes the devils and demons thrown back upon the Egyptians when the Israelites under Moses were brought out of Egypt by God for God’s purposes (to prepare a place for the Crucifixion of Our Lord for the Redemption of the whole world of those who are saved). In the same way the same false gods and goddesses that the Egyptians served and which in so doing were the reason the Egyptians sacrificed their sons and daughters to the devils and demons behind the false gods/goddesses were the spirits that killed the Egyptian children that perished when the Israelites were brought out of Egypt. God does not murder children, period. The angel of death which destroyed in Egypt was one of the fallen spirits. God did not cause any of the fallen spirits to hurt anyone. God allowed the fallen spirits to do what it is their nature do to when He brought the Israelites out of the gates of hell which was Egypt. The children below the age of reason that died went to be with God for eternity, they will be resurrected with the just at the Second Coming of Christ. This principle of God allowing the innocent to be afflicted along with guilty finds its ultimate fulfillment in Christ’s singular and only salvific Kenosis. Jesus Christ committed no sin, not ever nor could He, and was and is and only could be utterly and absolutely and completely innocent of any and all wrongdoing and sin by His very nature as the Holy and True God. The guiltless sacrificed by His own will for the guilty. Even when the innocent are afflicted by the actions and evils instigated by the fallen spirits in the world, the innocent are not possessed by those fallen spirits. The principle of all being afflicted by the evil set loose upon the world for its unrepentant sin will occur when the universal plagues are let loose upon the world. See Apocalypse 16 –

The principle of our always, for our part, protecting children is given us by Our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ in the Gospel of Matthew, Chapter 18

1 At *that hour the disciples came to Jesus, saying: Who, thinkest thou, is the greater in the kingdom of heaven?

2 *And Jesus calling unto him a little child, set him in the midst of them,

3 And said: Amen I say unto you, *unless you be converted, and become as little children, you shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven.

The principle of our ONLY worshipping the True God, the Father and the Son Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit is given first in the historical truth of the Garden of Eden when Christ, who is the Tree of Life commands the first man and his wife, Adam and Eve to not have anything to do with the tree of the knowledge of good and evil which is Satan, the first fallen angel, nor with any of the fallen angels with Satan. Assisi of Babylon/Vatican/Rome is absolute and complete violation of that principle and is the Great Apostasy in full blown Satanic evil. Have nothing to do with the Vatican or suffer its eternal damnation in hell with it. The devil and demon worshipping pagans and the perfidious deicidal Jews are not ever any part of the Salvific action of Christ upon Golgotha/Calvary. Individual pagans and Jews if they repent of their not confessing Jesus Christ as the Immortal Son of God become flesh for our sake and sacrificed for our salvation and who confess publicly their sin of devil and demon worshipping and perfidy and deicide and who beg the Lord of all, the Lord God, the Father and the Son Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit for forgiveness of their horrid and abominable sins, can and will be forgiven if they do so now in this life and will enter into the only path of salvation there is as dictated by God Himself. The Church, all the faithful – there is no other meaning acceptable to God for the word Church, is commanded by God to not have anything to do with the Apostasy.

Book of Wisdom, Chapter 17

1 For thy judgments, O Lord, are great, and thy words cannot be expressed: therefore undisciplined souls have erred.

2 For while the wicked thought to be able to have dominion over the holy nation, they themselves being fettered with the bonds of darkness, and a long night, shut up in their houses, lay there exiled from the eternal providence.

3 And while they thought to lie hid in their obscure sins, they were scattered under a dark veil of forgetfulness, being horribly afraid and troubled with exceeding great astonishment.

4 For neither did the den that held them, keep them from fear: for noises coming down troubled them, and sad visions appearing to them, affrighted them.

Global Campaign to End Violence Against Women Journalists

The International Federation of Journalists (IFJ) launched a global campaign to denounce violence against women journalists and alert public authorities on their need to to end impunity for these crimes. This campaign is a response to the numerous cases of women journalists being threatened, attacked, harassed, raped or even killed in the course of their profession.

“Tragically, women journalists are under bigger threat than their male colleagues when it comes to attacks, bullying, threats, cyber-bullying, rape and abuse; all effective tools to silence women’s voices in the media. As we encourage more and more women into the profession, their safety must be paramount,” said IFJ Gender Council co-chair Mindy Ran.

According to the IFJ, six women journalists were killed this year in the course of their profession. Rebecca Davidson, a New Zealand national, deputy head of programming at the Dubai-based Arabian Radio Network was killed on 8 February in a boat collision while on assignment in the Seychelles. Journalist Rahmo Abdulkadir working for Radio Abudwaq was shot in Towfiq district in north Mogadishu, Somalia capital, when she was close to her house. Baiu Lu, from the Urumqi Evening News died on 18 April, in an accident while conducting interviews on a construction site in Urumqi, capital of Northwest China. Habiba Ahmet Abd Elaziz from UAE-based Xpress newspaper was killed on 14 August together with four other journalists in Egypt. Yarra Abbas, television correspondent for Al-Ikhbariyah TVwas killed on 27 May, while covering clashes near the border with Lebanon. French reporter Ghislaine Dupont, who worked for Radio France International (RFI) was abducted and shot dead on 2nd November together with her male colleague Claude Verlon in the Malian northern city of Kidal.

“A one day protest on 25 November is not enough to fight against attacks against our female colleagues,” said Zuliana Lainez, member of the IFJ Gender Council and the IFJ Executive Committee. “We are launching a Working Party to ensure that constant attention is paid to the safety of our colleagues throughout the world and regular alerts and protests are launched to denounce these crimes. Part of the activities include a twitter action to mark 25 November International Day for the elimination of violence against women,” says Lainez who will lead the Working Party.

“We urge media organisations to do their best to fight violence against female media workers,” says Mounia Belafia, IFJ Gender Council co-chair. “Respect for gender equality is an important step for this and media must be made accountable for mainstreaming gender in all their activities.”

The IFJ encourages journalists, their unions and supporters to express their concerns over violence against women journalists and demand an end to impunity for these crimes

The Situations of Journalist in Egypt has Deteriorated

With the trial of former president Mohamed Morsi and major leaders of the Muslim Brotherhood under way on 4 November, Egyptian media workers are targets of attack. Freedom of information is threatened. Measures include military trials, arbitrary arrests, and abusive treatment in detention as Egyptian authorities maintains their campaign of repression.

This policy reflects a continuation of practices in effect since 2011. The successive governments in place since the fall of Hosni Mubarak – the Supreme Council of the armed forces, the Muslim Brotherhood, and today’s transition regime led by General Abdel Fattah al-Sisi – have all been determined to repress the media and control information.

“This new wave of threats to freedom of information in Egypt is especially disturbing,” Reporters Without Borders said. “Arbitrary arrests and hauling journalists before military courts constitute a danger to basic freedoms, as do prison terms, even if these are suspended. These practices must stop, and journalists still jailed because of their professional activities must be freed immediately and unconditionally.”

The repressive campaign against freedom of information violates decisions made by the committee in charge of drafting the new Egyptian constitution, notably a provision that would prohibit the detention of media professionals because of what they publish.

Journalists tried in military courts

Hatem Abou el-Nour a journalist for Al-Watan, an Egyptian daily, was sentenced on 30 October to one year of prison by the Cairo military court. Arrested on 24 August, he is accused of impersonating a member of the military during telephone interviews with organizations not linked to the army in order to obtain information for his articles.

Freelance journalist Mohamed Sabry was sentenced on 3 November to a suspended term of six months in prison by a military court in Ismailia. He had been arrested on 4 January while taking photos in the Rafah military zone in northern Sinai. He was reporting on a military prohibition on land purchases in the border area. The trial of the journalist, who was free during the proceedings, was reported on extensively since shortly after his arrest.

Similarly, Ahmad Abu Deraa, a correspondent for the Egyptian daily Al-Masry Al-Youm,was sentenced on October to a suspended sentence of six months, and a fine of 200 Egyptian pounds ($30) by the Ismailia military court. The journalist, who had extensively covered army activity in Sinai, was arrested by security services on 4 September in the northern Sinai city of al-Arish and detained while awaiting sentencing.

Arrests and abusive treatment

Islam Fathi, a correspondent for the MBC Masr network was arrested in al-Minya, 245 km south of Cairo, on 21 October. The arrest followed an altercation with a police officer who prohibited him from filming, even though he had showed his journalist credential. Held in the city police station, he was tortured and beaten repeatedly by police, including officers. They accused him of supporting the Muslim Brotherhood. Fathi was freed the next day, after charges of attacking a police officer were dropped. His injuries required treatment at Minya University Hospital.

Mostafa Diab, correspondent for Al-Madar in Ismailia, was arrested on the afternoon of 27 October while covering a demonstration by students from Suez Canal University. He was released 48 hours later. He reportedly was detained for having filmed the demonstration without a permit.

Complaints against Bassem Youssef, and suspension of his program

Complaints were filed against comedian Bassem Youssef, host of “Al-Barnameg”, on the CBC network, following a broadcast on 26 October in which he was critical both of the Muslim Brotherhood as well as the new regime, and mocked the popular fervour in support of the army. Some viewers accused him of inciting chaos, threatening national security and insulting the army

Several days later, CBC distanced itself from the comedian’s point of view, then suspended the 1 November broadcast, just before the second episode of the season was due to air. The official justification was that he had broken some clauses of his contract.

“Complaints against comedian Bassem Youssef and the suspension of his show are especially regrettable,” Reporters Without Borders said. “Freedom of satirically critical expression, especially in the context of a humor program, must have a place in a country that aspires to democracy.”

PA Arrests Man For Selling Perfume

Tulkarem – Palestinian Authority dictator regime arrested a poor man, 27 years old, a resident of Tulkarem on suspicion of manufacturing and selling perfume named after deposed Egyptian president Mohamed, family members said on Thursday. Bdair’s brother, Abdel Fattah, said that the security agents stormed the family’s shop in Tulkarem and confiscated all the Morsi perfume bottles, in addition to a computer. The shop specializes in selling locally made fragrances for men and women.

He added: “Men from the security services raided my brother’s shop and confiscated all the perfume bottles that were labelled “Morsi” then arrested Islambuli and also seized his laptop”.

The PA leadership in the West Bank has come out in full support of the ouster of Morsi, hailing the Egyptian army for its crackdown on Muslim Brotherhood supporters.

“The day after the arrest, my younger brother Qassam, 24, put a sign up on the shop door saying: An apology to customers, our Mohamed Morsi perfume has been seized by the authorities”.

Abdel Fattah said his family learned of the raid and arrest from neighbors and witnesses. He added: “No one contacted us to inform us of the arrest, my brother’s place of detention or the charges against him,” he said.

But he added that given the items confiscated, it was presumably because of the name of his Morsi perfume. Abdel Fattah insisted that the Morsi perfume was simply a business venture that had attracted a lot of customers.

PA Forces Assault Journalists

On the other hand, PA security officers beat a number of journalists during a rally in Ramallah last Friday in support of deposed Egyptian president Mohamed Morsi. They confiscated their cameras and deleted footage of the rally.

The assaults came as anti-riot policemen used force to break up the rally, which the PA said was organized by Hamas.

Among the journalists who were beaten were Ahmed Milhem of Wattan TV station, Mohamed Arouri of the Hamas-affiliated Al-Quds TV and Mohamed al-Qiq

Al-Qiq was roughed up by at least 15 officers belonging to the Preventive Security Force, witnesses said. Arouri said that a number of security officers dragged him, beat him and told him that he was “unwanted” in the area for security reasons.

Palestinian Center for Development and Media Freedoms issued statements condemning the targeting of journalists by PA security forces. “Violations against the freedom of expression by the Palestinian security forces were moving from bad to worse. Suppression of marches is a policy of the security forces and leads to assaults on journalists,” the center said.

Meanwhile, Hamas accused the PA of arresting dozens of its supporters in the West Bank over the weekend. Most of those arrested had participated in protests against the “military coup” in Egypt, Hamas said.

2013 UN World Drug Report: Alarming Rise in New Drugs

The Commission on Narcotic Drugs (CND), the United Nations office on drugs and crime (UNODC) today launched for the first time in Vienna the 2013 World Drug Report. The event marks the first step on the road to the 2014 high-level review by the Commission on Narcotic Drugs of the Political Declaration and Plan of Action which will be followed, in 2016, by the UN General Assembly Special Session on the issue. During a press conference held today at the United Nations headquarters in Vienna, the attending journalists expressed concern about the lack of effectiveness and feasibility of the actions taken by UNODC to reduce the global marketing of drugs, demanding from the Office on Drugs and Crime to why the measures taken by the UNODC are not reducing the marketing of drugs. Journalists also asked how the UNODC deals with cases when UN member States are themselves involved in drug trafficking or do not control and monitor the drug market, or are legalizing drugs in their jurisdiction.

UNODC executive director Yury Fedotov said: “We have agreed on a path for our ongoing discussion. I hope it will lead to an affirmation of the importance of the international drug control conventions, as well as an acknowledgement that the conventions are humane, human-rights centred and flexible. There must also be a firm emphasis on health and we must support and promote alternative sustainable livelihoods. It is also essential that we recognize the important role played by criminal justice systems in countering the world drug problem and the need for enhanced work against precursor chemicals.”

The (WDR) report highlighted the new psychoactive substances:
While new harmful substances have been emerging with unfailing regularity on the drug scene, the international drug control system is floundering, for the first time, under the speed and creativity of the phenomenon known as new psychoactive substances (NPS).

The number of NPS reported by Member States to UNODC rose from 166 at the end of 2009 to 251 by mid-2012, an increase of more than 50 per cent. For the first time, the number of NPS actually exceeded the total number of substances under international control (234).

NPS are substances of abuse, either in a pure form or a preparation, that are not controlled by international drug conventions, but which may pose a public health threat.

In this context, the term “new” does not necessarily refer to new inventions but to substances that have newly become available in specific markets. In general, NPS is an umbrella term for unregulated (new) psychoactive sub-stances or products intended to mimic the effects of controlled drugs.

Member States have responded to this challenge using a variety of methods within their legislative frameworks, by attempting to put single substances or their analogues under control.

It has generally been observed that, when a NPS is con-trolled or scheduled, its use declines shortly thereafter, which has a positive impact on health-related consequences and deaths related to the substance, although the “substitution effect” has inhibited any in-depth research on the long-term impact of NPS scheduling. There are of course, instances when scheduling or controlling a NPS has had little or no impact. Generally, the following kinds of impacts have been observed after the scheduling of a NPS:

(a) The substance remains on the market, but its use declines immediately. Examples include mephedrone in the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, BZP in New Zealand, “legal highs” in Poland, mephedrone in Australia and MDPV in the United States of America;

(b Use of the substance declines after a longer interval, maybe a year or more (e.g. ketamine in the United States);

(c) Scheduling has little or no immediate impact on the use of the substance, e.g. 3,4-methylenedioxy- Nmethylamphetamine (MDMA), commonly known as “ecstasy”, in the United States and other countries.

Israel Has Journalists in its Sights as Gaza Strikes Kill Three

The International Federation of Journalists (IFJ) today accused the Israeli Defence Forces of waging war on journalists in Gaza. The Federation was reacting to yesterday’s strikes which killed three journalists who were traveling in their cars, with press signs, in two separates incidents in Gaza city.

“This latest deadly attack targeting journalists is clear evidence that the Israeli military has declared war on journalists in Gaza,” said Jim Boumelha, IFJ President. “There can be no more lame excuses from the Israeli Air Force that it was targeting its enemy’s communications. The army which claims its strikes are surgically precise must have known there were journalists in this car and it should be accountable for what appears to amount to a war crime.”

Media reports say that Mahmoud Al-Komi, cameraman for Al-Aqsa TV and his colleague Hossam Salameh were killed when their car was hit by an Israeli missile near the Ashifa hospital. The two were reportedly on their way to the hospital where victims of the Israeli attacks were being treated. In a separate incident , another journalist, Muhammad Abu Aisha who was the director of al-Quds Educational radio, was also killed in his car.

In the meanwhile, journalists in Gaza have reported more attacks on media offices and hotels where journalists are staying. The AFP offices in Gaza were among media facilities which were hit, along with Deira and Beach hotels.

The Israeli Defence Forces have warned journalists in a tweet to stay away from Hamas facilities whom they accuse of using media as a human shield. But the IFJ says that the warning should be given ahead of any attack to allow for evacuation of civilians, including journalists.

“The intimidation of journalists has turned into an open war through the Israeli Defence Forces’ practice of shooting first and warning later,” added Boumelha. This is reckless and highly irresponsible and we are urging the world community to investigate potential breaches of international humanitarian law.”

The IFJ is examing options for an urgent mission to Gaza to investigate the targeting and killing of journalists.

Donors Should Reevaluate Support for Palestinian Security Forces

The US finances and trains the National Security Force (NSF), a Palestinian gendarmerie, whose officers participated in Amer’s arrest, his father told Human Rights Watch. The NSF, which has been the subject of two torture complaints by Palestinians since January 2009, does not interrogate detainees or operate prisons, but conducts joint arrest raids with the intelligence service and Preventive Security and turns detainees over to their custody. August 27 2012 – Human Rights Watch – The Palestinian Authority (PA) should urgently act to hold accountable the police officials responsible for recent beatings of peaceful demonstrators in Ramallah in the West Bank. Police severely beat protesters in the street and dragged others to a police station, where the police continued to beat and kick them. At least six protesters required hospitalization.

A coalition of Palestinian human rights groups released a report on August 27, 2012, that identified several senior police officials who were present and in charge of the forces that beat protesters in Ramallah’s main square on June 30 and July 1.

“Two months and four reports later, the Palestinian Authority has not yet brought to justice the police officers responsible for brutal assaults on peaceful protesters in Ramallah’s main square,” said Joe Stork, deputy Middle East director at Human Rights Watch. “The PA should end its foot-dragging and promptly investigate and prosecute abuse by members of its security forces.”

Senior Palestinian officials have said they will carry out the recommendations of a prior report on the incidents by an independent committee of inquiry established by President Mahmud Abbas. On July 24, the committee delivered a report to Abbas that called for the prosecution of the head of the Ramallah police station, the chief of police for the Ramallah area, and the head of the criminal investigations unit, among others.

Palestinian news reports said that the Palestinian Interior Ministry delivered the results of its own inquiry to Abbas in early August. The official Palestinian human rights ombudsman reported on the incidents to the interior minister on July 3.

The Palestinian Authority’s civil police are funded and trained by a European Union program, EUPOL-COPPS, with a €9.3 million annual budget. The United States and other countries support other Palestinian security services in the West Bank. The EU program states that it aims to create a criminal justice system that “complies with international human rights standards” by advising and closely mentoring the Palestinian police, “specifically senior officials at District and Headquarters level.”

“The EU and US should take a hard look at the PA security forces’ record of impunity, and condition support for those forces on credible investigations and prosecutions of abuses,” Stork said.

From January 2009 to July 2012, the Independent Commission for Human Rights (ICHR), the official Palestinian human rights ombudsman, received 584 complaints of torture and cruel, inhuman, and degrading treatment by Palestinian security forces in the West Bank, including severe beatings, slamming detainees’ heads against the wall, forcing detainees to stand or sit in painful positions for prolonged periods, and sleep deprivation. Of the 109 alleged cases of abuse reported in 2012, 62 were by civil police investigators.

Human Rights Watch has not uncovered information about a single case in which a Palestinian security official has been judicially punished for serious abuses, including torture and denial of medical treatment that caused death. In one case, security officials were prosecuted for abuses involving a death in detention from torture. All were acquitted.

The Palestinian Authority has claimed in the past that it disciplined security officials for abuses but has not published the names of the officials or any other verifiable information about these cases.

On June 30, uniformed police and plainclothes security officers punched, kicked, bludgeoned, and arbitrarily arrested demonstrators who had gathered in the main square of Ramallah to protest a planned meeting between the Palestinian prime minister, Salam Fayyad, and Shaul Mofaz, then the vice prime minister of Israel. When demonstrators gathered on July 1 to protest those abuses, police attacked them again. At least six protesters were hospitalized for injuries from police assaults on both days, according to the separate reports by the inquiry committee and Palestinian human rights groups.

Police also beat journalists covering the events, the latest in a series of attacks on journalists by Palestinian security forces. Mohammed Jaradat, an independent journalist, told Human Rights Watch that police beat him at the demonstration, dragged him to the nearby central Ramallah police station, and held him down on the ground while striking him with truncheons and kicking him. He was hospitalized for two days for injuries all over his body, he said.

On July 3, the ICHR commissioner-general, Ahmad Harb, met with the Palestinian interior minister, Said Abu Ali, and presented him with the report documenting “the unjustified use of force and beating of a number of participants in the peaceful demonstrations, and the detention of a number of others for some time before being released,” the commission said in a statement.

On July 2, Abbas established the independent inquiry committee, headed by Munib al-Masry, a leading Palestinian businessman, which interviewed dozens of witnesses and officials. The committee’s July 24 report to Abbas identified individual police officials responsible for the attacks. The report’s executive summary and recommendations, which were published in the Palestinian media, called on the Palestinian Authority to ensure that the police officials are criminally prosecuted.

Al-Masry later told Human Rights Watch that Abbas had called on Abu Ali, the interior minister, to carry out the committee’s recommendations. On August 15, Abu Ali told the committee that he was in the process of issuing the necessary recommendations to do so.

On August 27, the Palestinian Council of Human Rights Organizations, which includes rights groups such as Al-Haq and Addameer, published a report stating that Palestinian police and officers wearing civilian clothes attacked protesters on June 30 on the orders of the Ramallah chief of police, Lt. Col. Abd al-Latif al-Kadumi, to push the protesters back. Police attacks on June 30 and July 1 were both conducted in the presence of al-Kadumi and his deputy, and Maj. Mohammed Abu Bakr, director of the city’s police station, the report said.

The report cited a statement to news media in which the Palestinian security services spokesman, Maj. Gen. Adnan Al-Damiri, said that police acted to stop the protests from reaching the presidential headquarters – the Muqataa compound – in Ramallah, where demonstrations are “prohibited.”
In another recent case, members of the Palestinian Preventive Security service allegedly tortured Zakaria Zubeidi, the co-founder of The Freedom Theater, a theater company in Jenin, at a detention facility in Jericho. Zubeidi has been detained without charge since May 13 on suspicion of knowing the location of guns in the possession of armed groups, which he denies.

The Palestinian Authority has failed to act on the recommendations of other independent inquiries into abuse by security forces. For instance, in response to the report of the UN Fact-Finding Mission on the Gaza Conflict, led by Richard Goldstone, which documented arbitrary arrests, torture of detainees, and attacks by Palestinian Authority security forces on journalists and demonstrators protesting in the West Bank against Israeli military attacks in Gaza in December 2008-January 2009, Abbas authorized an independent inquiry committee.

The committee’s report, published in June 2010, called on the Palestinian Authority to “hold accountable and prosecute those who violate the law, whether by acts of arbitrary detention, by crimes of torture or other forms of cruel or degrading treatment or by violations of other rights and freedoms.” The Palestinian Authority has not published specific, verifiable information about any such prosecutions, however.

Human Rights Watch also documented Israel’s and Hamas’s responses to the Goldstone report’s other recommendations.

EU Mission Heads visit Communities facing Ethnic Cleansing in Hebron

A group of European Union Heads of Mission in Jerusalem and Ramallah visited today communities facing the threat of demolition and displacement in the Southern Hebron Hills. The objective of this field trip was to gain a first-hand impression of developments in the area, to demonstrate concern at the humanitarian impact of any house demolitions and forced transfer of population, and to express the EU’s commitment to a sustainable future for the Palestinian communities in Area C. During the visit, the group met with Prime Minister Dr. Salam Fayyad at Mufaqara village who briefed them about the PA efforts and work to support the people of this area.

The group started its visit at Jinba community where it met representatives from several communities in Area C and were briefed on recent developments in the Southern Hebron Hills, including the proceedings in the Israeli High Court with regard to communities situated in the designated “Firing Zone 918”.

The intention by the Israeli Ministry of Defence to prohibit permanent residence in the firing zone and thus to evacuate 8 communities (al-Majaz, a-Tabban, a- Sfay, al-Fakhit, al-Halaweh, al-Mirkez, Jinba, and al-Kharuba, all of which have been in existence from before the Firing Zone was declared) would – if upheld by the High Court of Justice – entail the forced transfer of up to 1800 people, contrary to Israel’s obligations as the Occupying Power.

The designation of the area as a live firing zone would thus reduce further the opportunities for Palestinian communities to live and work in Area C and reduce further any potential of economic and social development for the Palestinians in this area of the occupied Palestinian territory. Later on, the group met Prime Minister Dr. Salam Fayyad, at Mufaqarah village. The group reaffirmed to the Prime Minister the strong commitment of the EU for the well being of the Palestinian people in Area C, and particularly those communities under the threat of demolition in the South Hebron Hills.

In the Council Conclusions on the Middle East Peace Process of 14 May 2012, the EU recalled the applicability of international humanitarian law in the occupied Palestinian territory, including the applicability of the fourth Geneva Convention relative to the protection of civilians. The EU calls upon Israel to meet its obligations regarding the living conditions of the Palestinian population in Area C, by a policy shift entailing accelerated approval of Palestinian master plans, halting forced transfer of population and demolition of Palestinian housing and infrastructure, simplifying administrative procedures to obtain building permits, ensuring access to water and addressing humanitarian needs. Social and economic developments in Area C are of critical importance for the viability of the future Palestinian state since Area C is its main land reserve.

The EU and its Member States will continue to provide financial assistance for Palestinian development in Area C and expects such investment to be protected for future use. The EU will continue to engage with the Government of Israel to work out improved mechanisms for the implementation of the donor funded projects for the benefit of the Palestinian population in Area C.

500 Email Contacts of The Israeli Government

List of about 500 Email contacts of the israeli Press Office. I was included in this list apparently by error. I received several Emails while in the list, among others one inviting me to assist to a conference about “the future of the settlements”, during which the war criminal Shaul Mofaz will speak. I received this list of Email addresses from Major Guy Inbar, spokesperson for the office of the “Coordinator for Government Activities in the Territories (COGAT)” – which is the civilian office which coordinates and plans the ethnic cleansing, war crimes and genocide of Palestinians in the West Bank and Gaza.

Many Email addresses are in duplicate, and some people are present with several Email addresses. The list shows that the IDF has a desk for the USA,one for Europe, one for the EU, and that there are PACs (political action committees) set up in various geographies for the purpose of imposing israeli interests on the political systems of these places. The press contacts of this list are sparse outside of israel and outside of known zionist propaganda relays like CNN, Sky News or BBC. The recipients with identifiable links to some institution can be broadly split into the groups: zionist compliant media, zionist pressure groups, israeli government. In any case there are not many news agencies or media interested in whatever the GPO may want to say; apparently decent people in their right mind want to have nothing to do with common criminals posing as a government.
